POWDER SIFTER

A Powder Sifter, also known as a Vibro Sifter, Sieving Machine, or Classifier, is a high-precision equipment designed to separate, grade, or classify powders and granules based on particle size using a vibratory motion through one or multiple mesh screens. This machine is fundamental in industries where particle uniformity, contamination control, and dust-free sieving are essential—namely food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, spices, herbal extracts, and nutraceuticals.

⚙️ What It Does

The Powder Sifter uses a vibratory motor that creates circular or multi-directional motion, causing material to move across one or more mesh screens. Fine powder passes through the mesh, while larger particles are retained and separated out.

Primary Functions:

  • Dust removal (de-dusting)

  • Particle grading (fine, medium, coarse)

  • De-lumping / agglomerate removal

✅ Advantages

Advantage

Description

💡 High Accuracy

Mesh size as fine as 100–400 microns or even lower

⚙️ Low Maintenance

Minimal moving parts; robust stainless steel build

🧼 Hygienic Design

SS 304/316 construction

🔄 Scalable

Available from lab-scale units to industrial machines

❌ Limitations

Limitation

Explanation

⚠️ Mesh Blinding

Fine powders (hygroscopic or oily) may clog screens

🧪 Not for Wet Materials

Strictly for dry, flowable powders or granules

⚙️Limited Throughput in Fine Meshes

Ultra-fine sieving reduces flowrate; batching may be needed
